But among the "big" in alpine skiing there is also Italy, that ends this world experience with a silver and a bronze. Last and decisive day of races, today, for alpine skiing athletes: giant slalom for category 2 (high school), special slalom for category 1 (middle school). Italian teams keep two "bronzes"	Great France in cross-country on the World Championship snow in Passo Coe, in the name of Vicent Vittoz. But there is also Italy with a double bronze medal. In classic technique relay, category 1 (middle school) and category 2 (high school), the last race of the Ski World Schools' Championship ISF 2010 of Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna, the French schools for both boys and girls triumphed. The French, on the basis of Wednesday's individual race results (the final results involve the school, not every single athlete and they are the sum of the times in the two scheduled races), will take four precious souvenirs back home: three golds and one.	continue

After Wednesday’s first races (giant category 1 and slalom category 2 for alpine skiing and cross-country individual races) and this morning training session, the 500 athletes taking part in the competition will race again tomorrow at 9.00. They will run for success. FOLGARIA (TRENTINO), 2 MARZO 2010 - Alessandro Pittin, wonderful and unexpected bronze medal in Nordic combined at Vancouver Olympic Games, was the torch bearer during the parade and at the official opening ceremony of the Ski World Schools’ championship ISF 2010 taking place in Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna. A long, colourful and joyful snake, a lively parade of smiles, with hundreds of athletes from the 17 delegations present, following the young champion with the hope of doing the same wonderful sport career. The young athletes were very excited and enthusiastic. The Italian team lead by Andro Ferrari (technical director of the event) was cheered by the crowd together with the Iranian team, a meaningful and highly appreciated presence.	continue

Big curiosity around Iranian team	A very exiting atmosphere for the arrival of the delegations in Folgaria, that will take part in the Ski World Schools’ Championship from today to Saturday on the Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna upland. The participation of Iran, one of the first delegations to arrive in Folgaria, is important and particular. Athletes are very enthusiastic of the hospitality and the participation in this event. “We had a very long journey but enjoyable – explain the members of the Iranian delegation - , most of all because we arrived in a very fantastic place. We look forward to competing with all the other delegations. We know that there are a lot of strong nations and so we are curious to compete with them”. Abruzzo region will take part in the World Schools’ Championship of Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna with ten athletes. President of the Autonomous Province of Trento Lorenzo Dellai welcomed the delegation from Abruzzo. He came to Folgaria this afternoon to celebrate the initiative he has been promoting. He gave a heartfelt hug to the ten athletes of the two teams from the Istituto scolastico Liceo Scientifico “A. Bafile”, L'Aquila. Dellai, after thanking the organizers and the students from L’Aquila taking part in the world event, focused on the symbolic value of this initiative.	continue
