Italy 2010: a triumph! Said Anna Pia Carretti and Andro Ferrari
At last we are all going back home. Like professor Anna Pia Carretti, Italian delegate of ISF Technical Commission: she is driving back home but she is pleased to comment on Italia 2010 week.
"In my role of Italian technical delegate I realize I have lived this adventure in a very special way. I am very satisfied with the success of this event and this satisfaction is shared by the members of the organization as well as the people of Folgaria, who were really enthusiastic about hosting so many young students in their resort.
The idea of involving the students in the organization has been very successful: the machine worked in the best way and the athletes appreciated having all these students around them. Some detail perhaps did not work exactly as it should have, but it was nothing serious. The evidence of such a positive result lies in yesterday’s night rumours, people said: it’s going to be hard to do better".
And great satisfaction emerges also from the words of professor Andro Ferrari, coordinator of physical education at provincial level and technical director of Italia 2010. "Very well, from a technical standpoint it all went right. Two hard years, but it was definitely worth it. Both cross-country and alpine skiing races went on smoothly with the pleasure of racing also on the Agonistica – Martinella slopes which in the future could become the site for slalom, like the Salizzona is already for the giant. There were some really good athletes: I would not be surprised to see some young Italia 2010 winners steal the show in other more important championships.
We are all tired but the enthusiasm for all that we have seen in these days prevails.”
