An Olympic Champion among the students of Folgaria at the World School’s Championship. Olympic Gold in relay, in Lillehammer 1994, Giorgio Vanzetta was at work as gate referee in the Giant Slalom on the Salizzona slope in Fondo Grande. Once again the great Italian champion from Val di Fiemme confirmed his kindness and great human pathos that made him unique in the ‘90s in the cross- country world. Together with champion from Ziano di Fiemme, now technical director of the cross-country team Gruppo Sciatori Fiamme Gialle, there are also the Instructors of the Alpine School of the Financial Police from Predazzo, precious men who helped the organization in the different race venues.

“It has always been a pleasure to stay with the young – said Giorgio Vanzetta – In these events you can breathe a very sparkling atmosphere and it is really nice to stay on the course sides watching the performances of these athletes, who do their best to combine both sport and study”.
