What a great party at the congress centre of Lavarone for the Meeting of the Ski World Schools' Championship's Nations. The Nations prepared stands with typical products

And here comes the snow: just a light snowfall, but it is always welcome.

Tomorrow is D-day. Who are the favourite teams?
On the day after the first day of races and having a look at the standings we’ll try to predict the favourite nations for the team title. On Friday the category 1 athletes will race in special slalom and category 2 in giant slalom. Only at the end of these two events we’ll know who will be the World Champion School.

An Olympic Champion among the students of Folgaria at the World School’s Championship. Olympic Gold in relay, in Lillehammer 1994, Giorgio Vanzetta was at work as gate referee in the Giant Slalom on the Salizzona slope in Fondo Grande.

This morning was encouraging for Italian athletes who enjoyed good results, some of them could reach the podium, others were just behind. Martina Piller Roner, instead, ranked only 19th in the first run (Category 1 girls) ahead of Luigina and Eleonora Fauner, respectively daughter and niece of the Olympic champion Silvio Fauner.

Germany dominates in the Special Slalom on the Martinella slope in Fondo
Grande with Marlene Schmotz from Berchtesgaden and Sebastian Holzmann from
Oberstdorf. Cloudy day with icy snow for the students of the delegations in Ski
World Schools' Championship.
